The heavy part of the barrel is Coral Energy’s core strength – this is where we started. These are the heaviest liquid cuts left after processing (also called ‘residuals’).
The residuals, also referred to as heavy feedstocks are used both to compliment and diversify refineries’ raw material streams serving as density and yield correctors or optimising costs.
Identifying these feedstock supplements to meet refiners’ needs and delivering them or indeed finding demo akun slot a ‘home’ for a specific fuel oil or a VGO stream takes extensive market knowledge, trading skills and logistics capabilities.
Working together with our own bunkering division and other bunker industry participants we make sure we deliver the product of the right quality, at the right price, and right on time.
Another very important application for the lower end of the barrel is serving as components for heavy marine fuels. The modern globally strict limits on sulphur, viscosity, flash, pour point and metal content make sourcing, blending and trading bunker components very challenging. Coral Energy’s team makes sure that the components which are delivered work well together preventing dangerous sediment which may damage sensitive engine parts and delivering maximum engine performance.
